Affiliate disclosure
Some hosting links on this site earn a commission. Here is how that is handled, and the rules that keep it from shaping the results.

What this means
Some hosting links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy, the provider may pay me a commission at no extra cost to you. Today those links point to Hostinger and are marked rel="sponsored" so search engines can tell.
Where it is disclosed
Any guide that contains an affiliate link carries a disclosure above the first such link. The site-wide rules are also summarised on the About page.
Rules I work to
- Providers cannot pay for placement or for a better result.
- Findings follow the numbers. Costs are modelled from published list prices and stated formulas, with the check date shown, so you can reproduce them.
- Unfavourable results are published unchanged, including for providers I have an affiliate relationship with.
- No advance sight. Providers do not see results before publication.
Not every provider mentioned has an affiliate programme with me, and a link being affiliate or not does not change whether a provider is recommended. Prices change; check the provider's own page before buying.
Questions
Spotted a link that is not disclosed, or a result that looks skewed? Email [email protected] and I will correct it. See also the privacy policy.
